We recommend updating to this firmware version and performing a factory reset to ensure all the latest security enhancements are properly applied.

-Improved login password policy with a new minimum requirement of 10 characters, strengthening overall access security.
-Reinforced communication protocols between the mobile app and the router firmware to ensure more secure interactions.
-Optimized system stability for more consistent and reliable performance.
-Enhanced validation during parameter transmission to improve configuration integrity.
-Optimized routing stability under specific network conditions.
-Implemented security improvements for Dropbear.

Please note I am not associated with ASUS aside being their user and I just found out that there is a firmware update which seem to be about addressing the recent backdoor campaign:

An FYI. There is a separate discussion started back in May about that security vulnerability.

PS: And an earlier discussion posted about this firmware but it didn't contain links to router support page or firmware download.

Thanks, I will probably keep this post up if someone want to download. I also noticed that my AX56Uv2 acting as a mesh node updated to it automatically but my AX55 didn't lol

Have you then updated it manually on your AX55? Is it straight forward? Checking the hash of the file and uploading it to the router.

Don't know why but via https I couldn't upload the file and it just reboot. I use firefox but I believe this is a problem since 2024 firmware and I did try chrome to update in a previous version. Just put your router in http.
Edit: Grammar error lol I commented this at about 1AM.
