RMerlin has explained why the RT-BE58_Go is supported:I did notice that post. But 2 things worth noting: <snip>
Beyond that, here is an example of RMerlin's recent response when others have asked if xyz router will be supported:The RT-BE58_Go is an inexpensive WIfi 7 router. Marketed as a travel router, it might also be handy for anyone looking for an inexpensive Wifi 7 router to cover a small appartment. I don't usually support entry level models, but I decided to make an exception for this one.
PS: And in any event as the FAQ indicates...The only model currently on the roadmap is the RT-BE58_Go. For anything else - please refer to the FAQ.
So don't ask if/when a new model will be supported. I cannot speculate about future model support, and until I have working support for a model, I cannot answer that question.
No, the RT-BE58_Go is a Broadcom BCM6764 device. And it's not the same device as the RT-BE58U.hat both of them are Mediatek based
ok. Regarding BE58U I am not sure anymore what to believe but maybe it was broadcom as well, at least according to the following review it would be Broadcom BCM6764LNo, the RT-BE58_Go is a Broadcom BCM6765 device. And it's not the same device as the RT-BE58U.
