asus rt-n10u wirless-N150 Router, no wire connection with pc

New Around Here
I have purchased a Asus rt-n10u wirless-N150 Router, when I connect dsl cable between my PC and router, it shows disconnected (red cross in LAN icon) in PC and green light don't blink in router.

I tried my friend's computer it works fine and appear browser for setup.
I think my pc has no problem because my old Thomson tg585v7 router works fine in my pc and I also use broadband cable connection.

when i connect ASUS via my old Thomson ADSL router, Asus dsl work with my PC (appear browser for setup). My PC is fine and my new router is fine but no connection between them.
I have tried win7, win8 32/64bit OS but same problem.

So, help me in this situation please.

i read somewhere that the ethernet ports are slightly larger, on the n66 at least, to accomodate shielded rj45's. i know my stupid IDEAL (homedepot) cat6 plugs are a bit looser than i'd like. i'm thinking about getting a pack of shielded cat6 rj45 plugs for the router side of my cables. the ideal plugs i'm using fit perfectly in the cat6 wall jacks i'm using, so i have a feeling shielded plugs wont fit into the wall faceplate. so, i'm going to have cables with one side shielded, the other not. this might be the problem you're having, but i don't have an n10 to confirm that.

in other words, try another cable, etc

Firstly thank you for reply,

I have no knowledge about cable, I don't even know which cable I have and what I need. So, 'try another cable means' which model should I try?
