Hello,
I have an ASUS RT-N12HP router connected to a modem.
I have been experiencing problems with its wireless connection: ALL of my mobile or computer devices (apple/pc/android) cannot connect to the router through wireless connections. Mac/PC devises can only connect by LAN cables through PPPOE.
I tried to reset the router but cannot access the router configuration page through the default gateway at 192.168.8.1, nor at 192.168.1.1.
The IP address on my android device is 192.168.8.3.
The IP address on my Mac device is 192.168.8.5.
I went through router reset trouble shooting tutorials from the Internet such as :
- rebooting the router and the modem
- factory reset the router
- verifying that the ipv4 and DNS are automatically retrieved
- successfully sent pings to the default gateway at 192.168.8.1.
If anyone knows how to fix this, any help will be very much appreciated.
However I am not an expert in networking, so please be very specific in your instructions....Thank you very much.
