ASUS RT-N66U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3831
Security Fixed
- Fixed XSS issue in WDS page. Special thanks for Jamie's contribution.
- Fixed LPR buffer overflow issue. Special thanks for GeekPwn contribution.
- Remoted DHCP information disclosure.

Bug Fixed
- Fixed smart sync GUI issue.
- Fixed reboot issue when using repeater mode.

Modifications
- Added bluetooth coexistence option in wireless--> professional.
Bluetooth audio transmission(A2DP) near router would interfere 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, enabling bluetooth coexistence can reduce the speed drop.
Known issue: Enabling this option would also reduce 2.4G maximum throughput a little, so the default value is disable.
- Modified failback behavior when only turn on dual wan failover.
- Modified the firmware upgrade page.
After upgraded to this version, user can see the newer firmware release note in the GUI and unnecessary to go to support site.

I found at least one bug: after the upgrade I found the 2.4 GHz "b/g protection" box being "checked", while I Always have it un-checked.
After un-check the box and apply, the option stays on.
Also after hard reset of the router and manual configure the "b/g protection" can not be un-checked.

This note seems to me another copy/paste glitch from other more advanced router firmware release notes:
"After upgraded to this version, user can see the newer firmware release note in the GUI and unnecessary to go to support site."
I don't see the release notes in any of the GUI pages.

Keyword here is probably "newer". It means that future releases will show you their release notes before you upgrade to them. It does not show the release note for the version already flashed.

Hm..alright, let's wait a bit :)
Anyway I am surprised the router firmware checker is in sync with the download site.

Wonder if they closed the "go back" loophole with this version?

I checked the "get beta firmware" after upgrade to 3831 to test out what the notification will look like.

Closely look at the time stamps: the real time was around 08:12 and 08:13, the log sometimes jumps back to 06:12 and 06:13.

I have an issue with WEB access to my RT-N66W, for enter in Web GUI i need to 2-3 time refresh webpage and after it wait about 3-5 min.
Try https and http protocols, no luck , services like telnet or ssh working well at this time.
below htop cpu load info in time i try to load webpage , as you see router cpu not load

CPU[##* 2.6%] Tasks: 36 total, 1 running
Mem[|||||||||||||#**** 30/234MB] Load average: 0.00 0.01 0.00
Swp[ 0/0MB] Uptime: 09:21:06

Situation with WEB access same on ASUSWRT and Merlin latest beta too

Anyone else have problems with this new firmware? My speeds were cut from 20Mbps to around 3Mbps on average after the update. Even had Asus support try helping. I finally returned to the prev. build and now have the fast speed again.
