Broken firmware. I have a shared folder from Win 11 Pro 23H2 to Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st gen) via WiFi 5 Ghz. With this firmware video playback on Firestick stalls in a random intervals ( could stop playback of a shared video file in a 10 or 30 mins.) Never had such a problem. Rolled back to 3.0.0.4.388_33506 and everything was fixed.

I spoke with Asus support today. They said there's no beta firmware for the TUF AX4200.

Where did you get this from? What's the version?

Interestingly, for other MediaTek-based models, firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_33911 has started rolling out. However, according to reports from users who installed it, this version does not resolve the issues we encountered in 33903. Since its version number is lower than the beta (which is 33912), it seems we will need to wait for the firmware release based on the beta.

In addition to the 9.0.0.4.388_33912 beta firmware that Ask1 linked above, ASUS also uploaded 9.0.0.4.388_33914 on their WebStorage on May 23rd:

9.0.0.4.388_33912 firmware was built on 2025/04/07
9.0.0.4.388_33914 firmware was built on 2025/04/24

If you have any issues with 33912, then you can also try 33914. Otherwise, I would update at your own discretion as it has "test1" as part of it's filename.
