Release ASUS TUF-AX6000 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_33965 (2025/10/23)

Installed beta firmware. I´ll say if woks better

why version 9.0.0.4???? 9?????

Both the beta and the production releases bear the exact same version number (x.0.0.4.388_33965) and build number (g895dddb... if that is what it is).
I guess they promoted it from beta to official upon "successful testing" at some point.
I doubt you should experience any improvement with the beta over the official release (I believe them to be the exact same).

Still no issues yet on my side. User @Volt only experienced them after 7+ days of router uptime. That would be acceptable to me provided it is consistent, as I reboot the router weekly anyway.

It happenned to forum user Volt after 7+ days of continuous router uptime, maybe give it some time. Check the post I linked above.

I could live with it, since I have a weekly scheduled reboot, and I am currently testing just that.

Still, this should NOT still be happenning, this is at least the 4th release in a row that features this issue.
I checked how long my router’s been running and saw that blue gear icon — then I remembered I had turned on Adaptive QoS. After I disabled it, those little hiccups with webpagd loading started showing up again. But with Adaptive QoS on, my upload speed drops from about 920 Mbps to just over 500. I’ll try rebooting it and see how it behaves.

webpages load veeeeery slow this router is a ------------- I can not understand ASUS not repairing this ----------

If this is the original thread followed by Asus employees they should look into the matter. The firmware is of unacceptable quality.
It cannot be used over wifi.
Is that much slow.
And is not opening pages.
At the moment I'm using openwrt.
I'm seriously thinking of returning the router.
Bought on March and by mistake I tick to automatically update firmware.
Nightmare started.
This is a paste from the log:
Every 20-25 seconds this happens:
Oct 27 02:14:17 kernel: 7986@C12L1rax0,Peer_Vendor_Spec_Action() 817: Peer_Vendor_Spec_Action:frame len check error
Oct 27 02:15:06 kernel: 7986@C12L1rax0,Peer_Vendor_Spec_Action() 817: Peer_Vendor_Spec_Action:frame len check error
I think whatever errors comes are slowing down router.
Don't know about lan using only wifi.

Update:
Re-flashed latest firmware Version:3.0.0.4.388_33965
Still same issue with that error.
Going to raise the problem through router interface.
If they are not going to sort out the issue with slowing down router I'm going to ask for a return.
At the moment router is behind ISP router me thinking could be a compatibility issue in between ISP which is BT in UK and router. My connection is FTTP through a Nokia-ONT G-010G-R.

Hi, sorry for the late feedback.

I had the router running for two weeks uninterrupted and did not experience the kind of slowdowns, sites taking forever to load or pictures not loading like with previous versions. I did experience some slowdowns late in testing, but they did not feel the same as with previous firmwares, and I do not know whether I can blame the FW.

I had to change some settings during those two weeks, so I am not sure whether this restarted some services and masked the issue for some time... inconclusive at this point.

Eventually I had to power off the router at some point. Still testing at the moment, 4 days since last reboot with no noticeable issue. I have always had QoS disabled.

As my previous post the frame lean check error is happening whenever wan interface is connected. The reality is that something is going wrong with this firmware. Most of people that have it got same issues with slowing down. Have contacted Asus through router interface send them log with error. No answer whatsoever until now. My next step is to contact customer service. If they didn't come up with a solution I will have to return the router. At the moment is barely usable.

Hi @denis welcome and thank you for sharing your feedback!

I am aware of all that. I have been experiencing the issue with all firmwares since v3.0.0.4.388_33903 back in March 2025 if I am not mistaken.

I found out that using a VPN (having the router connected to a WireGuard VPN server through the VPN Fusion page, routing all traffic through the VPN), the issue is NOT present, whereas as soon as I disconnected the VPN to use my PPPoE connection, I would immediately start having page loading issues.

It seems absolutely UNRELATED to me, but it is what it is.

Regarding your logs and Frame lenght check errors, I could not find a lot of useful information...
I have a couple of questions:
  • Do you know what a frame lenght error is? Did you experience those errors at the very moment you were having page loading issues? Are you sure both are related?
  • In what log did you find them? apparently just the syslog, I do not have such errors but I did a hard factory reset when installing the previous version of the FW that required it, I guess it deleted all my previous logs
  • Did Asus ask you to enable system diagnostics and/or to generate downloadable logs? Did you look into them? (if you have them) Could you generate them and have a look? Apparently it requires attaching a USB flash disk to the router in order to store the logs.

Thanks!

For me personally, if the router is stable for at least 7 continuous days, I am fine with it since I usually have a weekly reboot schedule implemented, but that may not be for everyone.

The blue gear icon means Adaptive QoS is enabled on your router. With this feature turned on, regular websites load fine, but I’m getting errors when downloading large video files (around 16 GB) from the cloud and also when uploading big video files to the NAS. Upload speed also drops to about 400 Mbps, while it’s 940 Mbps when QoS is disabled.

Thanks, I was playing with the Asus APP on my phone and it somehow enabled Adaptive QoS. I disabled it sometime ago, and it is no longer showing the blue gear icon in the following screenshots.
I guess I'll have to wait again to check whether the page loading issues appear again. I DID encounter the issue with every previous release starting with 903.

My connection is a symmetrical 500Mbps FTTH PPPoE connection, so I would never notice a slowdown with Adaptive QoS enabled anyway, if I understand correctly.
