Hello, thank you for your post and information. All the improvements look attractive, yet knowing ASUS as I do, the question always remains, is this a self-inflicted hot foot when installed? i.e. is it stable and w/o (major) issues ? My network is small, with about 10 devices on it. I am currently running 3.0.0.4.388_24688 and is relatively okay. So, just trying to avoid issues if it is not needed.
Any insights are welcomed.

Thank you for your time.

Frank

Same here - loaded firmware 24768 on 6 XT8 V1s in access point mode. Dirty upgrades without problems. Tested all 6 on my network, all seem stable with no complaints from my spouse (my most exacting WiFi critic) :)

Hi,

This has been mostly stable for me. But after a week or two the wireless back haul seems to drop to 2.4ghz and can only be restored by a reboot.

I have 4 nodes. Did have this problem before a few firmwares back. The one prior to this didn't seem to have this problem.

Not a huge issue rebooting once every few weeks. Just wondered if anyone else was having this?

I loaded firmware _24768 and DID NOT do a factory reset. It only reeked havoc on connections/speed and the like.
That was a 'test' to see what would occur.

So did a factory reset and the system calmed down. Still play'n with it. Can't seem to keep Amazon Echo connected to the network and
am try'n to figure this one out.

I have 10-12 devices on my net.

Regards,
Frank

Currently running thee XT8's(V1) and a RP-AX58 in a mesh setup. Ethernet connection to 1 XT8 and the RP-AX58 from the router (XT8) , with wireless backhaul to the other XT8. On this last upgrade I did not go thru the whole reset each XT8 and RP-AX58 process, but I did do this on the previous upgrade as I was having issues. So far this has been stable with no drop in backhaul that I am aware of (but I dont check very often as my internet speeds appear stable and I have a modest 300 Mbps internet provider
