It appears they are now forcing HTTPs for local connections and have removed the option to upload your own certificate??

So is my only option for using my own certificates is to upload/overwrite the existing certificates via SSH?

No. I have my own domain thank you, I'm not interested in using Asus's own. They used to allow this, I want to know why it was removed and what workarounds exist (besides downgrading firmware).

Are you trying to access it but it is forcing secure connection? I use the static IP I assigned my ASUS router because it is in AP mode.

Ahh. I think you're trying to use your own certificate.... My apologies. It does allow me to log in on an insecure login page which was another person's complaint which seems different. He was going to/sent to the old router.asus.com...

No worries. I see the option to use your own certificate still exists under the DDNS configuration, so I'm just seeing if that works for me even though I'm not using DDNS, otherwise I'll see about directly replacing the certificates on the router via SSH.

The reset is also generating an .crt file which doesn't work on Mac Safari. XT9 experience.

A little late to the party, but I just updated my XT8s to firmware 3.0.0.4.388_24753.

I have 3 XT8 V1s, 2 used in access point mode with the 3rd being a spare. One hardwired by Ethernet, one hardwired by MoCA. Dirty upgrade on all units from online, no issues.

One pleasant surprise is that the MoCA-connected XT8 now shows my AppleTV4K has a solid gigabit connection for its Ethernet port on the Status page. Prior to this, the system log showed the AppleTV4K endless cycling between 100mbps and gigabit connection status, only stopping when the ATV4K was in active use. Now, the ATV4K Ethernet port is solidly gigabit on the Status page, and no more 100mbps/gigabit cycling in the system logs.

It's a small improvement, but a happy one...
