New Around Here
I have only been running with asus ddns for a couple of months and this is the third outage I noticed, which is NOT ok. Ran with DYN before and never any problems...too bad they canceled the free accounts.

Go with Afraid's FreeDNS. Much more reliable, free, and doesn't require monthly revalidation.
This is actually awesome. Didn’t even have to switch addresses on clients (hope that won’t be an issue). Thanks a lot!

Edit: asus is up now.

Do I understand correctly that the domain names used for DDNS are not owned by Afraid, but its users?

(And thus availability is uncertain?)

Afraid provides their own domain names, like any other DDNS provider.
