Solved ASUSWRT Installation issues for RT-AX58U

Creme

New Around Here
Hello, this is my first time trying to use an alternate firmware for a router. I purchased an ASUS router to specifically install asuswrt and try to enable SQM to bypass limitations with my new ISP's problems. I've followed the instructions, done a factory reset, reloaded a previous edition, and tried earlier versions of the asuswrt but I am still getting this same issue. Are there certain settings I need to change to allow the new firmware to be installed? I've provided pictures of my admin page, the most recent asuswrt file i downloaded, and the error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RT-AX58U firmware 3.0.0.4.388_25277-g6b455f2
Factory Reset: Yes

Asuswrt is the name of the stock Asus firmware. It is not an alternative firmware. Asuswrt-Merlin is the name of an alternate firmware.

There are two different hardware versions of the RT-AX58U. Merlin's firmware only supports V1.

There is a port of Asuswrt-Merlin done by another developer (GNUton) that supports V2:

Version 2 of this router is unsupported for whatever reason, so the firmware fails when you try and use it. The readme.txt file states this.

3004.388.x:
* RT-AX88U
* RT-AX58U & RT-AX3000 (V1 only)
* RT-AX86U & RT-AX86S
* GT-AX11000
* RT-AX68U
* GT-AXE11000

I had seen the mention of there being 2 versions but I didn't see where that was listed on my own. Either way thank you for the link to the other site that supports V2. I installed it and it worked.
