Should there be any entries in the system log to show when the router has checked the Wi-Fi channels to see whether it needs to make any changes? Also, if changes are made by the router, does that normally result in any brief loss of Wi-Fi? I only ask because the Android tablet I have (wall-mounted) to continuously monitor the feed from the security camera by my front door is particularly sensitive to interruptions in the Wi-Fi.

Surely if you have a device that is that sensitive, then you would be using a set WiFi Channel?

I've tried that, but the neighbour's Wi-Fi keeps changing and sometimes it causes my 2.4 GHz devices to slow toa crawl. There seems to be conflicting advice on this subject, some saying that using the auto feature is the better option, which is what I am trying right now. But I'm curious to see if there are any entries in the log when the router does any Wi-Fi scans.

Perhaps at some level of logging, but even then any event detail may not be in terms of specific webUI settings... or any terms the average user might understand.

DFS definitely restarts the radios. If you really want to know, make a change and watch for it.

I don't use the DFS channels and I seem to remember that at least one of my devices couldn't connect to the the Wi-Fi when I tried it some time ago.
