I have a DGS-1100-05PDV2 Gigabit Ethernet Switch, powered from another NETGEAR POE switch

DGS-1100-05PDV2 Gigabit Ethernet Switch only can supply TWO CLASS2 POE at the same time (7 W each maximum). In one port I hace a FOSCAM CAM and in the other port I have RT-AX55 in AP mode. RT-AX55 only boot with 2,4 Ghz in power save TX power and 5 Ghz disabled. I would like boot with 5 Ghz too, so, is there any ASUS device with lower power requeriments? Perhaps RT-AX52, RT-AX53U? any advice?

The power consumption of RT-AX55 will perhaps increase with 1W or less with both radios enabled on full power. You are in Europe, 2.4GHz max Tx power is 20dBm or 100mW, 5GHz non-DFS is 23dBm or 200mW. Don't use Power Save setting, it cuts the radios down to single stream greatly impacting the performance. Use Balance instead if you don't need range. I believe you're good in any configuration. Hello from Andalusia.

With FILOGIC 830 devices, like my TUF-AX6000 gateway and two RT-AX59U in AP mode, TX power save DOES NOT cut to single stream (proved)

Thank you for testing this on your routers. Seems like the behavior on MediaTek hardware based devices is different. I still believe you are fine with any setting. The difference in total power consumption is minimal.

I use Power Saving on 2.4GHz and Fair on 5GHz for a long time on RT-AX86S - the radios connect to 2 streams.
