AX58u paired with AC88u question

The power switch on my AC88u broke so I bought myself the AX58u which in my initial testing appears to be a fantastic little router for the price. I ended up fixing the AC88u by taking the little spring out of the power switch and now I want to try AI Mesh. Does it make sense to use the AX58U as the master router or the AC88u or does it matter?

If you make the 'AC88U the master and extend an AiMesh network, I would expect to forgo any AX capabilities.

If you make the 'AX58U the master and extend an AiMesh network, I would expect AX coverage from the master and AC coverage from the AiMesh node.
