BE88U vs BE86U: is the 88U worth the little but extra money?

Hi,

As I see it, the 88U has more 2.4 GHz throughput and 2 GB RAM instead of 1. I’m just not sure if I will notice that..

The wifi capacity seems plenty high on both models.. and what will more RAM even do on a router? (Planning to use Merlin). Is it worth it paying 40 euros more for the 88 in your opinion?

There's a few BE88U reviews kicking about and not as many for the BE86U.

Think the BE88U has issues but these could be fixed via updates.

I was in the same dilemma as you. Ended up getting the BE86U on Black Friday as it was much cheaper here and I didn't need the extra LAN ports.
