Can someone advise me which is the best Asus router for use with OpenVPN?

Today?

The newer RT-AX88U Pro, or the older GT-AX6000. Both should give similar performance, but the latter is more likely to be EOL'd sooner than the former.

The best speed you can get from AIO router is around 250Mbps. For more you need x86 hardware appliance.
