best back up soloution using dns 323

I have a qnap ts 439 pro ll running at RAID 5, i am going to expand the drives in it but before i do i thought it wise to back up the data first, i have a dns 323 that isnt doing anything and want to use it as the back up for my qnap, for the life of me i can get the qnap to see the box, the usb port on it is for a printer so that is useless, i though there might be a way to use the 2nd ethernet port on the qnap to link to it or even some other way using the switch...any ideas ?

The DNS323 doesn't support rsync, which is the only network backup format the QNAP supports.

You'll have to use a computer to transfer from NAS to NAS
