Best companion for Netgear Gs108Tv2

I have a Netgear GS108V2. I need to split one wire connected to the Gs108Tv2 at a remote location into two. Thus, I am looking into getting a second 5 port switch. What is the logical choice?
GS105PE or GS105Ev2 or other?

Neither.
You want to get the vanilla model:
"NETGEAR GS105 ProSafe 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch - 10/100/1000 Mbps"

The pro plus "unamanged" version has some extra features like a web gui turn on and off things like broadcast storm control, etc.

Your current switch does not support any of that either BTW.

The GS105PE is a POE model.

Cloud200 is right, unless you want to upgrade the switch you currently have, and then move the GS108 v2 to the remote location.

In that case, the GS108Tv2 might be a good choice for the upper end, as it's a managed smart switch. Or, you could go with a GS108Ev3 if you want unmanaged (or less costly), it probably has a bit better throughput over your old one, and some advanced features.

Yes, a very simple one.

I picked up a GS105Ev2, the only model the local IT supplier had.
I was able to get it to change to fixed IP and to access it through the ProSafe utility.
However, I can't access the web browser. I am entering the IP address in the browser, and I get a standard logon browser. I know what the password is. I don't know the user name. Blank doesn't work.
Other Netgear devices such as the GS108 will not prompt a logon box.
