New Around Here
I have read the articles about the sketchy methods microsoft is using to collect personal informaiton from their users. I am not impressed.

I have a hosts file on my computer where i have blocked the appropriate sites
"127.0.0.1 www.example.com"
I want to me able to block this list similar to what is done in the host file on my computer. Instead I would like to also block this at the router for less than savvy users on my network. (on the router)

Is this done in Qos in merlin? or is this better done in a different setting.
How do i block the ip adderss and names i want?

thanks

Hosts file blocking doesn't stop the telemetry in Windows 10 and now has also been backported to previous Windows versions (to at least Windows 7).

Personal information is not collected, imo. But if you want to stop it, something other than hosts files needs to be used.

There are plenty of other threads already discussing this, such as this thread.
