BQ16 Latest Firmware & Consistent disconnections from the internet after a week or 2?

I don’t know when it was released, but when I checked for new firmware today, there was a new release. I have installed it and have my fingers crossed that it takes care of the Internet disconnection issues.

Just noticed it today but haven't put it on yet, How has it been so far?

So far, so good, but it is still early. I've had it go up to about three weeks before the Internet disconnect occurred.

I installed it yesterday lunch time, So far so good but like you say too early to tell, For me it was within 3 days to 1 week.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Well it's been 1 week for me so far on the latest firmware and so far no issues or disconnects.

Don't want to speak too soon but it's looking good so far for me.

One of my clients on the latest firmware is having random wlceventd crash log with processs TAINTED messsage

Couldn't figure out why but it doesn't seem to impact stability

Apart from that, the logs are pretty quiet

I haven't looked at the logs much but so far it's been very stable for me with this latest firmware on the UK BQ16 (Non Pro)

Well I spoke too soon, Just completely lost all wifi yet again, Nothing wrong with the internet connection it's this shirtty router, This POS is going back to Asus I've had enough.

Does anyone know what these are in the Asus router app? It's not at the time the WiFi went off because the last notification was yesterday however I seem to be getting quite a lot of these notifications in the app since it was updated?

Well after checking the logs again, I found this and that's why the WAN connection keeps dropping and will not reconnect automatically without rebooting the router.

Apparently this is an inherent issue that has plagued Asus routers and firmware for decades allegedly and they can't be arsed fixing it from what I can gather online.

Sorry you're experiencing this, I follow this forum precisely for this reason and this is not your first complaint nor your third, I really think that something in the NON-PRO versions or in general in the relationship between ASUS MESH and QUAD-BAND just doesn't work!
It's sad that even after almost two years Asus can't overcome the problem, but on the other hand, WIFI7 didn't really prove itself worthy and was full of problems, but it seems that the quad-band combination broke Asus. It's a fact that the BT10 Mesh system has been working for many months with many users, but on the other hand, the complaints about the BQ16 (mainly from non-pros but not only) are simply everywhere!
