broadband drop amps / signal boosters

Cascading amplifiers generally won't do much and can degrade the signal due to
overloading the input of the second amp.

If you are trying to amplify a really low signal, remember that an amplifier increases both signal and noise.
 
Perhaps I shouldn't add another house drop amp then. Thank you for the information.

I currently have this located in my garage. It has four ports:

1) 12-16V
2) Input RF
3) Out RF +11 dB
4) In PWR + Out RF + 11 dB

The 4th port doesn't have a cable connected to it. I might just connect the cable modem to it and then wire the Ethernet cable through the house.

Maybe I should just replace it? Any recommended ones?
