BCM49428

Quad-core ARM v8 compliant 64-bit processor for enterprise access point (AP) applications

The BCM49428 is a high-performance quad-core ARM v8 compliant 64-bit processor that has been designed from the ground up for the next generation of 10Gb wireless applications. The quad-core B53 CPUs have enough horsepower to support the throughput of Broadcom’s ultra high performance Wi-Fi 7 access point chips and still provide plenty of headroom to run customers' value-added applications. The BCM49428 features a dual-issue runner network processor and a high-performance Security Processing Unit (SPU). The integrated 10G/5G/2.5G multi-Gig PHY makes this the ideal platform to support the next generation of multi-gigabit enterprise wireless networks.
