Buying Asus Wireless Networking Products

Hi,

I'm new to networking and thought it would be a good idea to make a thread before I purchase any items.

I want to replace my Linksys WRT54G. I have a desktop computer, but its in a seperate room from the router, so I need a adapter too. What kind of adapter would work the best? PCI or USB?

I heard some great things about the N66U. Do you guys think this router is a good buy? Is it future proof?

I have 3 PCs / laptops connected to the wifi on this router , 2 use a N-Band USB dongle and the 3rd uses it's own internal N-Band hardware , all stream movies/music and play on-line games with no problems.

One of the PCs used to use a PCI wifi card , but I switched it to a USB adapter and really haven't noticed any difference.
