I’m aware of efforts to backport this to kernel 6.12 for OpenWrt, but I don’t know if anyone will try to backport this to the ancient kernel 4.19 used in the Asus routers. Wait and see?

Similar situation with OpenVPN DCO and multi-threaded encryption. It needs minimum Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, perhaps kernel 5.15 or newer. Would be nice to have on low-power ARM AIO device, but... next time.
