Can't connect to T-Mobile TM-AC1900 WiFi until router is rebooted

New Around Here
Hello All,

Recently I've been having an issue connecting to my TM-AC1900 WiFi under rather specific conditions:

- The issue only is evident in the kitchen, on the other side of the first floor from where the router is (in the garage)
- The iPhone WiFi indicator may show 2-4 WiFi bars, but I'm not able to ping my router (192.168.1.1)
- WiFi will sometimes disconnect, and then re-prompt for WiFi password but not be able to join
- Tried WiFi Analyzer on an Android device and there are not obvious conflicting SSIDs. In fact, our router SSIDs are the only networks that show as being available to connect to.
- Rebooting the router seems to fix the issue. After rebooting, I can connect to the WiFi in the kitchen and network latency is back to normal

If there were weak signal or interference, I'd expect the issues to persist. What confuses me is that rebooting the router seems to fix the issue in this one area of the house (I haven't experienced it in other areas of the house). Any ideas on what could be happening or if there is a persistent fix for this?

Thanks.

Does it show the same issue with other devices? What happens if you reboot the iPhone instead? Have you tried 'forgetting' the ssid on the phone and re-associating it again? Have you tried totally resetting the network settings on the iPhone? Is the ssid hidden? Have you reused it over many routers and different firmware? Try using a new ssid with only alphanumeric characters for the ssid and the password.

Thanks for the response. The issue has happened with an iPhone, an iPad, and an Android phone. The SSID is not hidden, and I believe it's only been used with this router. There may have been one firmware upgrade after setting up the router with this SSID.

What I notice is that they are all handheld devices. See if the issue persists with a laptop (plugged into AC power).
