Can't get a static ip how to use dns in router to bypass this problem?

Having to switch over to cable due to bandwidth needs and we are stuck with a dynamic ip.

I vaguely remember that i can use the dns service in the Asus 68U to bypass this but it near xmas and the short ones aren't letting me sleep lol

Help!! (before wife goes nuts )
 
Use one of the DDNS services available under WAN -> DDNS. You can use a free account from NO-IP (must first register on their website), or Asus's own (which does not require registering before hand, but will be tied to this specific router's MAC address).
