i recently bought an RT-AC86U to be used as an AImesh node for my RT-AX88U
everything seems to be working fine.

now the question.
when i created the aimesh the 5ghz was on channel 40 fixed.
the 5ghz is used as backhaul channel
is it possible to change the channel to something other(like 100) without killing the mesh connectivity?

Sure, but I recommend auto channel and let the router and node choose what is best. Yes, it really does work!

ok thanks. i will put it on auto mode to see what happens. i also use the smartconnect rules. the advantage of that is that devices(eg iphones) also switch back to 5ghz once they switched to 2.4ghz
