Has anyone used this model router on a good sized pipe; say 30mb symmetric? How well does it handle the load?

I believe you would have better luck with Cisco part number
CISCO891W-AGN-A-K9 if you have to have the wireless functionality.

If you don't need the wireless try
CISCO891-K9.

Better Throughput for that type of bandwidth.
