Clarification - RT-AC68P

Howdie all. I've been reading these forums for good while, and recently joined.

Subject: RT-AC68P:
a) Today I bought a RT-AC68P Revision B1 (i.e. Best Buy sku of the RT-AC68U/R).
b) I've attempted to thoroughly research the revisions of the AC68U/R/W, but I'm a confused with AC68P.

RT-AC68P: Main Questions:
1) Is revision B1 of the 68P the same as B1 for the 68U/R?
2) If not, which version of the 68P matches up to which version of the 68U/R?
3) Are there hardware differences between 68P B1 and the corresponding 68U/R model?
4) Does 68P B1 work as well as the 68U/R with: asuswrt-merlin, dd-wrt, tomato (shibby)?
5) How can I tell if the router I bought has the new FCC restrictions builtin?

If you have time:
6) Are there other versions of the 68P, that don't don't have a corresponding 68U/R?
7) For any listed in #6, do they work with: asuswrt-merlin, dd-wrt, and tomato (shibby)?
8) Is it dumb to buy the Best Buy model, and instead should I just try to find a U/R?

68u/r normaly have a 800 mhz cpu Inside(depend of revision)C1 got a 1 ghz cpu(correct me someone if im wrong)
68P = 1 ghz(sure)
Bought on Amazon , best buy , Staples....., change nothing
Your revision is on the side box or/and in the sticker behind the router
i would stay with the 68P

There is a good thread on this site somewhere that talks about each model but I couldn't find it in my quick look around just now. The thread can't be more than a few weeks old as I remember looking at it recently.

It is my understanding that the 68U B1 has the 1000 Mhz processor and the C1 adds an updated chip. I also believe that the 68P B1 and the 68U B1 have very similar specs if not the same but don't quote me on that.

Found it and one other thread that touches on the subject. I'm not sure if either explicitly answer your question but some good information none the less.
