The new Comtrend PG-9172PoE is a G.hn powerline adapter that is the first to support 802.3af power over Ethernet (PoE).

With a maximum link rate of 1200 Mbps, the Comtrend PG-9172PoE is also designed to prioritize technologies like HD streaming and home surveillance cameras by using up to eight levels of packet prioritized QoS.

The Comtrend PG-9172PoE protects data using 128-bit encryption, has single-button security setup, uses a web-based management interface. TR-069 supported, and can be used in configurations of up to 16 G.hn powerline adapters.

Available now, the Comtrend PG-9172PoE G.hn powerline adapter has an MSRP of $69.99.
