We have 2 48 port Netgear GS748TNA gigabit switches
1 in 1 building and 1 in another adjacent building. We want to connect the 2 switches. The length between the routers is less then 150 ft. We have 5 in conduit connecting the basements. switches are in the basements.

1. Would it be beneficial to use fiber optics?

2. If I connect the switches with more than one cable would it be faster?

You can use a cable of up to 100meters.

No benefit to fiber unless there is very high electrical noise.

If the switches support link aggregation, which I think they do, two cables
will help.
