My house is wired with Cat5 ports in each room, but I want to connect clients wirelessly. I have 2 WNDR3700s. Is there a way to connect the WNDR3700s to my Cat5 ports such that both can act as wireless access points? Ideally I'd like one connected downstairs and one upstairs so I can provide good wireless coverage throughout the house.
I don't want to go the repeater route, because I don't want to lose the throughput. Right now my modem is connected to the Data In port of my LAN and one WNDR3700 is connected to a Cat5 port, but when I try to connect the other WNDR3700 or any other client to another Cat5 port via Ethernet, I don't get an internet connection.
Is there a way to do this?
