Consumer switch with Port Security?

PontiacVibe

New Around Here
Hello, I have read articles from SNB before and always find the information informative! This will be the first time posting on this forum.

I have some experience with cisco switch and firewall, but I am no CCNA...

I am looking for a consumer type switch that can be managed and has good security features. I like to have a switch that can have port security if possible.

The four switch iam interested in are:
HP Procurve 1810-8G
HP Procurve 1810-24G
Netgear Prosafe GS108T
Netgear Prosafe GS110TP

So do any of the above do port security? As well, are they reliable? Which has better feature set? Lastly, are there any fanless switch out there they can be manage by command line like cisco devices? All the switch listed above are WEB UI.

I dont really need PoE on the switch as I have a ASA5505 which has two already. So the GS110TP is probably a no go for me and the price is a lot to pay for PoE when I dont really need it.

Please help.

Additional information:
-I use my ASA5505 to divide up into inside, DMZ, and outside zone. I dont have advance security license with my ASA5505, so I can't create more network (VLAN) nor can I do trunking....
-I apply port security to all ports assign as DMZ port, therefore, the devices within my DMZ cannot talk to each other. I found myself grown to love port security very much.
-I have the following devices in my DMZ:
1. NAS #1 for movies, songs, data, etc
2. NAS #2, use only for downloading stuff from internet and once I scan all the downloaded items, i transfer it to NAS #1.
3. Slingbox

The switch(es) will be use to expand my DMZ and/or inside network.

does "port security" mean VLAN?

Not exactly. Port security stop one port from talking to another port. Is kind of like vlan were you can't talk to another vlan unless you have inter-vlan routing...

I believe another terminology for port security is port isolation.

Here is the concept network that I have in mind: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7185/6785658518_7b151f3a62_b.jpg

Please comment! The reason to have a switch is to extend it to another room. Looks like I do need VLAN trunk...

Additional information:
-The workstation will have access to DMZ, mainly the NAS, Slingbox, and MFP.
-The DLink NAS will not have internet access as it is use for storage only, Addonic NAS will get internet as it is use for downloading.

Still need to figure out which switch work best for me.

Here is a screen shot from my GS108T-100NAS... not sure if the 200NAS has more features or not.
