CPU/RAM stats bars not working AC88U

Anyone know what causes this and how to resolve? I have rebooted/hard reset, nothing changes. No vpn clients running, no USB installed.

This usually indicates something is preventing the webui code from running properly. Open your browser console and look for any Javascript error.

well, i guess I should have thought about Javascript, but I know little about routers as such and even less about javascript. I logged into other browsers and now no sign of the problem. I am trying to fix safari browser now.
