If I enable DDNS on my Asus router what info does it collect if any ? Also can I still use my direct ip or the DDNS address for things to work ?

Your router's MAC address, your hostname, and your WAN IP. Your WPS PIN is also used for authentication but not sent to ASUS.

Depends on the what the "things" are. Accessing webGUI from WAN won't work if you access it via IP address, for example.

Why not? All DDNS does is translate a name to an IP address.
I mean over HTTPS. The certificate is only for the DDNS name, not for the IP. You'll have to access webGUI via the DDNS hostname for the browser to authenticate the router's identity.

I see. I guess you could just ignore the warning about the certificate.
