Default Password?

Pulled out an old AC87u router for the mother in law. I know it has Merlin installed on it and I haven't used it in a while as my 88u is perfect. I did a 30-30-30 reset and let it boot up. I see the Asus1 and Asus2 but for the life of me I can't remember the password for the admin screen. Has all this changed and can I configure it wirelessly on a new setup for the inlaws? Thanks y'all.

Default password is the same as stock Asus (admin:admin).

If you lost your password, then you will have to do a factory default reset. While the device is on press the reset button for about 5 seconds. After that you will be able to access the Quick Internet Setup wizard and configure a new login.
