Did the BE98 Pro ever get it's AFC firmware update?

I've decided not to pursue AFC after all. To use it, you have to drop from 320 MHz to 160 MHz, and it's tethered to your phone to "check in" once a day just to stay active. I think it’s better to use your ISP router for AFC. They already have your name and address. My ISP router broadcasts 6 GHz at 25 dBm, so if I wanted AFC range, I’d just stick with that.

320 MHz channels are available, depending on location. I do not believe the range is as long as 160 MHz, so there is a trade-off.

It's frustrating... I have been holding out for a decent AFC option for over a year... I was hoping perhaps the BE98 Pro would get it (as originally promised and FCC approved), but no luck so far. The BE19000 AI has it, but the price and color don't work for me. The GS-BE18000 (STRIX) has it, but I'd prefer something that supports Merlin, as I use entware apps and heavily use VPN Director. The only other option is the E7 from Ubiquiti, but that is another whole environment and transition. I've just been sticking with my old AX86U's for now. Frustrating.

Ask Asus. Only direct user feedback to them might help there. My guess is there must be some technical challenges involved in supporting it on that model.
