DIR-635 short periods of non-response

I own a Dlink DIR-635 router. Recently it started having some periods of non-response. I tried running the windows ping utility to continuously ping my router in the background on a client(wired). After I connected a wireless client, I immediately saw ping request timeouts appearing every 5-10secs, lasting about 3 secs each time. I had tried hard resetting to factory defaults and reflashing the firmware (v1.09) but it doesnt help. Any ideas?
