Does asuswrt-merlin have support for VLANs on the ASUS RT-AC87U?

We hope to configure some VLANs on our ASUS RT-AC87U router. Can we use asuswrt-merlin for this or must we use DD-WRT to get VLAN support? Thanks!

In what sense? If definitely supports VLANs on the WAN portion, as my ISP requires it and it works perfectly. You can also set a different VLAN for the other LAN ports (for IPTV use).

I would like to be able to configure groups of machines into VLANs within the router, similar to DD-WRT support for VLAN configuration here => http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/VLAN_Support

I am also looking to set up custom virtual LANs to cordon off some Internet appliances. Is the VLAN interface open to users?
