Does installing Merling/Gnuton affect your AI Protection eligibility?

Hi all,

Going to be installing Gnuton on my AX82U as soon as the stable version of the current beta drops. I had a question though. This router has lifetime AI Protection, does installing custom firmware affect that in any way or will I still be able to use it?

AiProtection is still fully functional, since our firmware are based on the original code, and they run on officially supported models.

Thanks Merlin, I wasn't sure how it worked. I thought maybe each router had a unique license key or something like that.
