Does VPN Fusion Actually hide IP

Wheelz

New Around Here
I have setup a VPN Fusion connection tunnel for a device, assuming that it will now hide that device's public IP, instead of running a VPN client on that device.
However if I check "whatsmyip.com" from that device, it still shows my public IP.
Does VPN Fusion actually hide your public IP?

If VPN Fusion is set correctly and the traffic actually goes through VPN - whatsmyip.com run on this device has to show the IP of the VPN exit point. To avoid traffic going around your VPN tunnel disable IPv6 on your router. Running the VPN client on the device may be the better option. This device perhaps has better CPU than your router and the VPN software usually has more/easier configuration options. In specific cases (like dedicated IP or App selective routing) you have to use the VPN software on the device.

IPv6 on router was disabled, and the device (TV) is the only device in the VPN Fusion connections device list. IP of the device in VPN Fusion matches the device IP.
I'll try adding another device to the list and see if it does the same.

Make sure the VPN client is configured correctly and the tunnel is up. Stock Asuswrt doesn't have kill switch.

Clients were configured correctly and connected...but I think I have it working now...it is a bit finicky when assigning devices.
Even though it was in the assigned devices list for the VPN connection, it was not showing checked off in the device list as already being assigned.
Rebooted router and device a few times and it seems to be holding.
Probably a good idea to check with WhatsMyIP every once in a while
