Dropout issues with n66u

I just got the n66u today, as well as the motorola 6141 modem. everything seemed to be working fine all afternoon. didnt run any heavy tests though. the 5ghz channel works flawlessly. great speeds. but i go to the 2.4 and try to run speed test and the download speed shoots up then stops and comes back down and i basically have to wait for the router to reset itself.

im running merlins firmware. and ive tried all the suggestion ive alreeady seen on the forum. any advice?

Hi,
By any chance have you surveyed your 2.4GHz environment in your neighborhood?
Using something like inSSIDer you can pick and choose best channel and b/w for your
router to minimize QRM..

I have. Forgot to include that. I'm set on channel 1 which has the least amount of traffic

Try "20 MHz only" channel width for 2.4 ghz.
