DSl-AC68U Merlin FW

Hi Guys,

is there a way to get on the DSl-AC68U the Merlin FW? I was using this before on the AC56U and I just love it. I didnt fint any version for the DSL-AC68U.... I tried the the normal for the AC68U but it doesn't allow me to flash. Well the DSL stuff I don't need actual as I do not have a DSL.

From this what I see the Hardware is exactly the same as the AC68U so there shouldn't be a big deal. Can I somehow cheat there a bit to get the AC68U image on the DSL Router ?

No Merlin does not support the DSL version of the 68 and from what I understand does not intend to.

yeah I saw this that there will be no release for this. But I was hoping I can modify the AC68U package so the DSL version will accept it. Maybe it will brick the router, but I have still a spare R7500

There is no way around it other then buying the standard 68U.

to bad than I think I will do this.... First the R7500 no third party FW.... Now I bought the wrong router...... I think 2016 isn't for mine....

Sorry the news is not better but there really is no chance Merlin will ever support the DSL model. Anyway i doubt the DSL Isp would ever allow third party firmware in the first place.

yeah this could be an issue with the ISP. well well.... I stay on stock and will just ignore the DSL stuff in there Will download later the source code and will see what I can do with it
