I have both DSL and cable internet and setup the cable thro the primary WAN and setup DSL thro the secondary WAN using LAN 4
i can see both of them connected in the status screen.

i can see the ip from start.ca for the WAN1 and teh IP from my DSL router for WAN2
however i cannot connect to the internet outside in this setup as i had setup load balancing 1:1

Is this a invalid setup. how can i make this thing work. I am willing to play around wiht it but needs some guidance.
i am running Firmware:3.0.0.4.374.34 (Merlin build)
on RT N66U

Here is something i tried. i wanted to set it up as something with failover.
my primary WAN is cable
My LAN is connected to DSL router which is on PPOE by itself and can accept DHCP clients.

I get a error in internet status that i dont understand
"You have set the wrong dynamic or static ip for your RT N66U.
i dont know how to resolve this

In Internet Connection page, select

WAN Type = WAN

In addition you can select to MAC Clone the authorized MAC Address from the ISP.

That should fix the issue. If it doesn't, what is the output of

Code:
ifconfig -a

You can choose to show only a portion of inet/inet6 and HWaddr for privacy.
