Eastern Time Zone wrong DST end date

For the time zone setting, if I choose EST (GMT-5) is shows daylight time ending the second Sunday of October instead of the first Sunday of November. For those you of in that and other time zones in the U.S. and Canada, you might want to manually correct the end time.

The interesting thing is that the change from the second Sunday of October to the first Sunday of November has been in effect since 2005!

Hi,

How did you find out that wrong DST end setting?
Can you please post the result of the telnet command: cat /etc/TZ - it shows the full settings with timezone and start/end of DST.

In my case (middle European time) its like this: MET-1DST,M3.4.0/2,M10.4.0/3

With kind regards
Joe

Pretty sure that the default is using the 10th month and 2nd Sunday as the default setting for North America, as both my devices are using that as the DST end time. The Time Zone setting is likely not connected the DST settings.

Before manually adjusting the DST settings:
PST8DST,M3.2.0/2,M10.2.0/2

After manually adjusting the DST settings:
PST8DST,M3.2.0/2,M11.1.0/2
