What's new

emission power of the WIFI function of time

If you are using an ASUS router and using Merlin's firmware you can easily turn your radios off at night and turn them on again in the morning.

Go to the wireless tab

Then to the professional tab and you will see where to set the schedule.

I don't know if this feature is available in the stock firmware, but it is also available using Tomato and DD-WRT.

...sorry for being slightly off-topic here, but will that schedule acknoledge existing, avtive clients?
...I'd like to set this, but I cannot afford that clients get disconnected just because a scheduled event kicks in.

It is a simple switch that turns the radios off and then on again at pre designated times. No warning. If someone is connected they will be wondering what happened to their WiFi connection.

Once the timer has turned the radios off the only way to switch them back on is connect to the router using an Ethernet connection and access the administrative pages. As an alternative, if you have enabled WAN access to the router, you could use a smartphone and reset the timers.

No notification at all, the radio will be disabled at the given time.
I use the radio scheduler to switch off WiFi during the night.
Works great.
Less RF when I sleep. :)

Edit: I see the Captain beat me to it.

Thank you both for your fast response.
That is exactly my use-case, but I'd like to have an option "wait until last client disconnects".
My previous primary router has/had this and I liked it...set wifi schedule-off at 10pm regular but being able to finsh some "work" after that time of day if need be.
