Erratic CPU on RT-AC88U

But seriously, you want us to guess? It could be high bandwidth use or a rogue script or two acting up.

What firmware are you running? What features are enabled on the router? What scripts are you using? Please be specific and give more details rather than less.

Sorry newbie when it comes to routers etc,

Firmware is 384.17
No scripts running
ASUS router is connected to ISP modem/router which is in modem mode only, & its a fibre connection.
All AiProtection is on.
Adaptive QOS is Off
AiCloud 2.0 Cloud disk is on
VPN server OFF
VPN client OFF
Firewall On

very basic setup, please let me know what other info will help, so I can provide.

So you have a USB drive attached? That is most likely the issue right there.

In wireless settings I had Enable Smart Connect set to on, changed it to off, and both CPU's dropped to less than 5%.
But will keep my eye on USB drive, thanks.
