Facebook Wifi Issues

New Around Here
Hi,

Has anybody used Facebook wifi and experienced problems with this feature. Facebook wifi is supported on the Asus AC68U. but I noticed some problems after setting it up.

1. Session Length looks to be unlimited. I've set it for 30mins only but I can still browse or use any of phone app that needs data (facebook app, youtube, messaging apps) beyond the 30mins given.
2. I've set a Wi-Fi code, even if I do not enter it after a few minutes I`ll be able to browse or use the internet on the guest wifi.

I know it is not fully developed yet, but is there anybody here who was able to use this feature properly?

thanks

Hi KevTech,

I have 3.0.0.4.380.4164 installed yesterday to try it out.

So here are my observations.
1. Session length do work (maybe it kept on resetting the session every time I made changes)
2.Internet access is limited meaning some sites will load, some wont. this includes some mobile apps, like facebook... people can browse, watch videos on their news feed. All this happened without checking in or putting the wife code I have set up. looks like the Require Wifi Code is not being enforced.

Facebook Wifi is not perfect for consumer grade routers that they have released with. It looks like others (netgear & dlink) have problems as well. I don't know if this happens to enterprise brand (aruba, ruckus and meraki)

I did some research, I would like to see this features like captive portal strength to be able to block users to network until sign-in is complete and able to assign this with a different ip-address for the guest network and main network. Set a time limit when they will be able to reconnect to the network. But all of this are only wishful thinking that they provide these on consumer grade routers.
