I'm looking for a wireless router to replace my ageing Netgear R6400, which has abysmal USB3 transfer performance of ~30MB/s, presumably due to its relatively weak CPU.
I'd like a router which can achieve >100MB/s transfer speeds to a USB3 external SSD. I've been considering the Netgear X6S R8000P, which can be found for a reasonable price second hand. Are there any other contenders at a similar price?
I've noticed that USB performance is no longer listed in the SNB Router Charts for WiFi6 routers. Is this because it's taken for granted that they have beefy enough performance for USB3 transfers?
