Firewall services filter

I'm not quite clear on when the firewall services filter is supposed to work as, according to something I read elsewhere on this forum, it somehow interacts with the parental controls. I'd like to test it on my Asus RT-AC68U, but I need to know what to expect it to do if I do/do not have parental controls switched on.At the moment, I have the maximum 16 allowed time schedules in use plus a couple of devices in the app control part of AiProtection. I'm using Merlin build 378.56_2

Unless it's been fixed in recent builds, enabling Parental control effectively disables the Network Services Filter.
